Line items

What we fix on site

Ranges below are typical for a mid‑size car or light truck in the KC metro and include parts, labor and the trip. You get a firm number before a wrench moves.

DIAG‑01

Diagnostic & scan

Check engine light, no‑start, intermittent electrical. Full OBD‑II pull, live data, voltage drop testing. Fee credited toward the repair.

$95–$125
BRK‑10

Brake pads & rotors

Per axle. Includes hardware, caliper service and a road test. Fluid flush available same visit.

$260–$430
ELE‑20

Battery, alternator, starter

Charging‑system test first so you replace the part that actually failed, not the easy one.

$185–$680
ENG‑30

Belts, hoses, water pump, thermostat

Overheating and coolant loss. Serpentine and accessory drive replacement, pressure test included.

$160–$890
SEN‑40

Sensors & ignition

Coils, plugs, O2, crank and cam sensors, misfire chasing. Codes read in context, not parts‑cannoned.

$140–$520
MNT‑50

Oil, filters, fluids, wipers

Full‑synthetic service with filter and a 20‑point look‑over. Bundled cheaper on fleet plans.

$85–$135
SUS‑60

Suspension & steering

Struts, control arms, sway bar links, wheel bearings, tie rods. Alignment referred out and coordinated.

$240–$780
INS‑70

Pre‑purchase inspection

Before you buy, or before you add a car to a rental fleet. Photographed report, list of what it will need and when.

$150–$195

Fleet & host program

Vehicles that earn money

A car in a shop queue is a car not on the road. We service small fleets where downtime is the real cost, and we work around your booking calendar instead of ours.

Car‑sharing hosts

Turo and similar. Between‑booking service in the lot where the car turns over, so it is ready for the next guest.

Detailers & mobile services

Vans and trucks carrying equipment. Preventive intervals instead of roadside failures on a paid job.

Contractors & trades

Two to twenty work trucks. Scheduled in the yard before 7 a.m. or after the crews are back.

Maintenance agreement

Scheduled care, per vehicle, per month

  • Two on‑site maintenance visits a year, fluids and filters included
  • Quarterly condition report with photos and a dated wear list
  • Priority scheduling — fleet vehicles are placed ahead of one‑off calls
  • Labor on covered repairs billed at the plan rate, no trip fee
  • Month to month, cancel with 30 days’ notice
$79 per vehicle / month

Service area

Where we come to you

Zones are road miles from our base in Johnson County. Zone 4 is booked around work already scheduled in that direction, so give us a few days’ notice. Fleet work travels further than a single repair does — ask.

Zone 1 · 0–20 mi

Holden, Kingsville, Strasburg, Chilhowee, Leeton, Centerview, Warrensburg, Pleasant Hill, Lone Jack, Garden City, Creighton.

No trip charge

Zone 2 · 20–40 mi

Lee’s Summit, Blue Springs, Grain Valley, Oak Grove, Odessa, Harrisonville, Raymore, Peculiar, Belton, Greenwood, Knob Noster, Higginsville, Clinton, Raytown, Grandview, Independence.

$35 trip charge

Zone 3 · 40–60 mi

Kansas City MO, Sugar Creek, North Kansas City, Gladstone, Liberty, Overland Park, Lenexa, Shawnee, Olathe, Concordia, Marshall, Sedalia, Warsaw.

$75 trip charge

Zone 4 · 60–100 mi

Lawrence, Ottawa, Leavenworth and Topeka KS; St. Joseph, Chillicothe, Boonville, Columbia, Nevada and the Lake of the Ozarks.

Quoted per visit

We need level ground, roughly a parking space of room, and legal access — driveway, lot, curbside or yard. Street‑side work in Zone 1 follows city ordinance; if the spot will not work we will say so before the appointment, not after.

Three steps

How a job runs

The order matters: nothing gets replaced before it is tested, and nothing gets billed before it is quoted.

01

Send the symptoms

Use the request form or text a photo and the year, make and model. You get a written estimate range back, usually the same day.

02

We arrive and test

Confirmed appointment window, tools and common parts on board. Diagnosis first, then a firm price. You approve before anything comes apart.

03

Repaired and documented

Work done on site, old parts left for you to see, payment by card or transfer, and a work order in your inbox with a 12‑month parts and labor warranty.

Straight talk

Fit & not a fit

Clear boundaries make for better work. Read both columns before you book.

Good fit

  • You want the vehicle fixed where it sits
  • You would rather text than sit on hold
  • You run vehicles that need to stay available
  • You want the old parts and a written work order
  • You want a real number before the work starts

Not a fit

  • Transmission internals, engine rebuilds, body or paint
  • Tire mounting, balancing and alignment
  • Work in a garage with no clearance or on an unsafe slope
  • Customer‑supplied parts — we cannot warranty those
  • Emergency roadside towing — call a tow operator first

Questions

Before you book

Do I need to be there while you work?

No. If the vehicle is accessible and you have approved the estimate, you can leave the keys and go about your day. We send photos of what we found and a work order when the job closes.

What if you find something else once you are in there?

You get a message with what we found, what it costs and whether it is safe to defer. Nothing additional gets done without a yes from you in writing.

Can you work in an apartment lot or a parking garage?

Often yes in a lot, rarely in a garage — low ceilings and jack clearance are the issue. Tell us where the car sits in the request form and we will confirm before scheduling.

What do you charge for the trip?

Nothing within 20 road miles of our Johnson County base — that covers Holden, Kingsville, Warrensburg, Pleasant Hill and Lone Jack. $35 out to 40 miles, $75 out to 60, and quoted per visit from 60 to 100. Fleet agreements include the trip.

How do I pay?

Card, tap, or bank transfer when the work order closes. Fleet accounts are invoiced monthly on net‑15 terms.

Is the work warrantied?

12 months on parts we supply and the labor to install them. Customer‑supplied parts are the one exception, which is why we do not install them.
